Oswald Labs Research is our division focusing on inventing new technologies and conducting research for the next billion users. Our R&D team is based out of Enschede, the Netherlands, but is open to collaborating projects worldwide.
How it works
We've partnered with the most innovative companies across the globe to conduct research into accessibility and build new products. We collaborate with thesis students, researchers in universities, and devote pro bono time from our team for collaboration.
Literature research
Starting with literature research, we conduct an extensive analysis of the current work being done through company collaborations, research papers, and product testing.
Product development
Using technologies such as artificial intelligence and user-first personalization, we build new products out of our research and release them for free for everyone.
User testing
Our team and partners work with users in their environments, like testing with students with dyslexia in schools or users with visual impairment in relief organizations.

Oswald Labs Research Fund is our not-for-profit fund built to support efforts into R&D and invention. We're partnering with some of the world's smartest companies to fund projects across accessibility and research.
Case study
Our researchers conducted a study with Augmenta11y, our AR app to help students with dyslexia read more easily, and found a reduction in reading time of over 20%.
